Remove the Worn Cabin Air Filter

The filter is on the left-hand side of the cabin seat.

First, remove the floor mat. You can tuck it under one of the foot pedals to hold it in place.

Undo four thumb screws holding the cover plate, and pinch the two clips to pull it out.

Wipe the housing of the cabin filter with a clean cloth to remove the dust, sand, and debris.

Install the New Filter

A heavy-duty mechanic holds a cabin air filter. An overlay arrow shows the airflow mark.

There are two ways to know how to install the filter correctly:

  1. The holding clips should point at you.
  2. The filter has a mark showing the airflow.

Push the filter until it pops in. Reinstall the cover plate with its thumb screws, and put the floor mat back in its place.
