We changed the Ditch Witch SK755 canister fuel filter in the last post.

In the third part of this series, we’ll replace the inline fuel filter.

Tools You’ll Need

To remove the hose clamps on both ends of the inline fuel filter, you can use one of the following:

• A Phillips screwdriver.
• A flat-head screwdriver.
• A socket that fits the hose clamp.

Change the Inline Fuel Filter

The inline fuel filter is in the rear compartment.

Push the safety button once you open the door (see the above picture). Otherwise, it will stay halfway, and the door could fall on your hands.

The filter has lips at both ends, so undo the hose clamps enough to get over top of them.

Next, pop both fuel lines and install the new filter. It goes in a specific direction. An arrow on the filter (check the image below) must go toward the engine (your left hand).

Finish by reinstalling the fuel lines and tightening the hose clamps. By the way, you don’t need to prime the inline filter. There just isn’t enough air inside the filter to give you any trouble when firing the engine back up.

Leave the rear hatch open. We’ll check the hydraulic oil level later on in post #5.
