Step 1: Open the Compartment

Open the compartment where the inline fuel filter is located. You need to push the latch down to lock it in to hold the latch open safely. This action will prevent the hatch from falling down on your hands when working on the machine.

Step 2: Remove Hose Clamps

There will be two hoses connected to the inline fuel filter. The hoses are held in place with hose clamps. You can use a Philips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, or a socket that can fit the hose clamp. Loosen the clamp on each hose line.

Step 3: Remove the Old Filter

Once the clamps are loosened, push them farther down the hoses. Next, pop the fuel lines from the old filter. It can take some wiggling to remove them.

Step 4: Place on New Filter

Pay attention to how the old filter was placed on the fuel line. The flow on the filter only travels in one direction, from the tank to the engine. There should be an arrow on the new filter that shows the direction of the fuel flow when it passes through the filter. If the filter is placed the wrong way, the fuel will not pass through it. Place on the hoses to each side of the filter.

Step 5: Tighten the Hose Clamps

Once the hoses are fully on the filter, push the clamps back into place and tighten them. During the installation of the new filter, you do not have to pre-fill the filter with fuel. While there is air inside the filter, it is not enough to cause any problems with the Ditch Witch SK755 when the engine is fired up.
