The Gehl CTL55 compact track loader is a modern workhorse that’s tough as nails. But it’s not invincible. Like other pieces of heavy equipment it’s susceptible to track failures caused by old compact track loader sprockets. The sprockets transfer energy from the motor to the track. As such the amount of energy that’s brought to bear where the sprocket’s teeth contact the track lugs is enormous and those teeth wear down over time and become jagged. Once that happens they can damage the rubber track making track failure inevitable. This doesn’t have to happen though. Regular inspections of your Gehl CTL55 undercarriage can reveal damaged teeth and you can replace the old sprocket with this aftermarket Gehl CTL55 sprocket to stave off breakdowns.
The construction industry is one of the toughest out there. It’s hard enough to secure jobs and bring them in on time without making things more difficult than they need to be. If you keep this Gehl CTL55 sprocket on hand and assign someone to examine the undercarriage of your Gehl compact track loader periodically you’ll be able to avoid this type of unnecessary, profit killing breakdown. Reputations in the construction business are hard-won. Don’t let yours take a hit for something that could have been avoided.
